Minecraft: Story Mode

Yes ladies and nerds, Telltale games has announced and released the trailer for Minecraft: Story mode. The company behind The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead and The Game of Thrones series has partnered with Mojang to bring an epic story-driven episodic game based in the Minecraft Universe. Announced at Minecon 2015, Telltale promises that the game will carry Minecraft's distinctive look but will not have a "real story". They explain that there's been a huge demand for a fiction set in the Minecraft Universe. Telltales says that players will explore and build their own story. The details seem a bit confusing but more will be released in weeks to come. Check out the trailer! Will there still be the open world we're accustomed to having in Minecraft? Is it it's own stand alone game or downloadable to our Minecraft copies? Check out Mojang's Blog: https://mojang.com/announcing-minecraft-story-mode/

MineCon and New Minecraft Features

MineCon is a convention for the video game Minecraft. This years Minecon was held in London where thousands of people will go to celebrate the Minecraft community. The convention is also a place for the lastest news and it was announced that Minecraft will undergo some massive improvements in the year to come according to the Microsoft-owned company, Mojang. There have been three changes that have been confirmed and announced at this year's Minecon.

The first change is the ability to Dual wield. Players will now be able to assign an item to each hand. Whether it be to badass weapons or a sword and shield, players will have the freedom to fight, explore, and mine in a multitude of new ways.

The second change is the increase in difficulty in the Mobs and Monsters. The desktop end boss, the Ender Dragon, will be a lot tougher to beat according to Nathan Adam's of the Mojang panel. The addition of a new mob called the Shulker, who will shoot projectiles, will also make it's appearance in the upcoming updates.

The third change comes as new additions to the game areas. In the reveal, they show a game area with a purple color scheme that allows the player to levitate and allow the player to navigate the world through levitation.

These new features allow it's players to explore and expand on its universe in new ways never seen before. Also presented at Microsoft's E3 press conference and presented at MineCon 2015 was the ability to play Minecraft on the Microsoft Hololens.

Microsoft Hololens

Microsoft Hololens has been the talk of the gaming industry since it's Minecraft demo at Microsoft's E3 press conference. (Above video) Not only will players be able to project their favorite video game displays on any surface but they will also be able to interact with them in ways we've only seen in Sci-fi movies. Hololens works using a heads up display where its user controls the device using their voice and touch features. Projecting your video game on a wall was impressive enough (We're all going to look insane doing this!)but being able to project an entire Minecraft world and interact with a 3d projected image on a table top will change the way we play and interact with games. The Oculus Rift intends to transport us and immerse us in an entirely different world. Microsoft Hololens intends to blur the line between reality and virtual reality. Microsoft Hololens doesn't seek to isolate the user but instead make their digital world something tangible and interactive with the world around them.

That entire Minecraft world is only visible to the person wearing the visor.

Fallout 4 pre-order required to get Fallout 3 for Xbox One

Bethesda has announced that Fallout 3 will only be available on the Xbox one for those who preorder Fallout 4. During this year's E3, Bethesda's Todd Howard announced that copies of Fallout 4 would also include Fallout 3 for the next generation console. That didn't seem to be the whole story. In a recent Bethesda blog, the developers stated that only those preorder Fallout 4 could take advantage of the offer. Something else all gamers should know, also post posted on the blog is the following:
"We're excited to announce - for a limited time - your pre-order of Fallout 4 for Xbox One will entitle you to receive Fallout 3 on Xbox 360," it reads. "The code for Fallout 3 will be delivered to your Xbox message center in 7-10 days. Redeem your code on Xbox.com or on your Xbox 360."
The offer remains unclear whether that offer extends to retailers or just the Xbox Store.

Windows 10 not available to everyone on launch

Microsoft announced on July 2nd, 2015 that Windows 10 will not be available to everyone at launch on July 29th. Microsoft plans to rollout Windows 10 in waves starting with beta testers and people who reserved windows 10. Microsoft plans to update millions of devices but wants to update the experience based on the people who receive their copies first. According to Microsoft, "Microsoft is slowing the rollout to make sure millions of users, all running slightly different configurations, aren't going to lose data or go through some other catastrophic operating system failure." Microsoft is offering free upgrades to people running Windows 7 and 8.1.

Allison Road

It's true. We might have lost all hope for the Silent hills remake but a small team of developers known as Lilith studios is here to keep our photo realistic nightmares alive! Seeming to take some inspiration from the P.T demo released in 2014, Allison Road drops you into a modern home exploring and uncovering the secrets it has to share. The gameplay shown above is only a prototype and still in the pre-alpha stages. Developers promise that there will be an inventory in the final game but for now plays more like an haunted house simulator. Could this be the true horror experience we've been waiting for? Check out the trailer and let us know.
