Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata Has Passed Away

After years of battling with health issues, Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11th, 2015 at the age of 55. Many in the gaming industry are paying their respects to Mr. Iwata including Nintendo who vowed to stay off of social media for the day following the news of his passing. Mr. Iwata suffered from a bile duct growth, also known as Cholaniocarcinoma, that caused him to miss the past two E3 conferences. This type of cancer has a high mortality rate and Mr. Iwata's surgury proved to be unsuccessful. Mr. Iwata garnered the love and adoration of fans and of the industry as a whole for his candid demeanor and personal embodiment of the playful nature Nintendo was greatly known for. Nintendo has informed GameSpot that succession plans have "not been decided at this point."
No Man's Sky 18 Minutes of Gameplay
As an IGN exclusive, the developer of "No Man's Sky" played 18 minutes of the game explaining some of its core mechanics and gameplay features. As one of the most anticipated games of E3 2015, No Man's Sky has gained attention because of its seemingly infinite amount of gameplay. Gears of War 4 beta starts...
Gears Of War 4 Beta is expected to begin on Xbox One in Spring 2016. The announcement comes from a fine print reading stating that whoever purchases and plays Gears of War: Ultimate edition before March 1st, 2016 will have "early access" to the Gears of War Beta. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is set to be released August 25th, 2015
PS4 Exclusive Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 Beta
According to new marketing material for Black Ops 3 obtained by Charlie Intel, the multiplayer beta will be a "Playstation exclusive" from August 19th and August 23rd. Playstation will have five days of exclusivity while PC and Xbox One beta dates have yet to be announced.
Kojima Productions is No More
Akio Otsuka, the Japanese voice actor for Solid Snake says Kojima Productions has disbanded. Kojima Productions has developed and produced The Metal Gear series and most recently, was developing Silent Hills. Roughly translated by Kotaku, Otsuka remarks on Twiiter that "due to [Kojima Productions] hard effort, the game is just about finished. ... It's bound to be a supreme masterpiece ... Even if this is the last time, [Metal Gear Solid] lives forever." Polygon says on their post that in March, Hideo Kojima's name and Kojima Productions' logo was taken down from Konami's Metal Gear Solid website, which began a wave of speculation about the company's relationship with its longtime developer, Konami.
